Kabylia Mentioned in the House of Commons for the First Time in Over 100 Years

In a historic moment for the Kabyle people, Kabylia has been mentioned in the UK House of Commons for the first time in over 100 years. Jim Shannon MP emphasised the humans rights violations against the Kabyle Berber minority, and reports of arbitrary arrests, surveillance and restrictions on religious freedom - as well as Algeria’s placement on the US Special Watch List. He also underlined the recent UK legal opinion affirming the Kabyle people’s right to self-determination under international law.
